Law of attraction

Hi Guys,

I recently read a life-transforming book called The Secret. It basically introduces the audience to the a concept called "The Law of Attraction". The book (also a movie) states that whatever situation we are currently in, we have attracted into our lives and these circumstances or people come to us by the images we hold in our minds. If its a positive experience, we've attracted that into our lives by the images we hold in our heads and if its a negative situation we're complaining about, we've attracted that as well.

The book and the movie talks about how everything in the universe is connected and that we live in a "feeling" universe where all is available to us in abundance but we fail to recognize this and are constantly stuck in a negative pool of circumstances.

Isn't this true guys? I mean everybody knows that when an individual wants something wholeheartedly and truly then the whole universe conspires to turn that dream into a reality. We all have the power to create our lives the way we want to. I personally believe that the universe is waiting for us to ask so that it can deliver. Many times we think that if things don't come to us naturally, they don't belong to us but that's not true! We need to first believe that we can have everything we want, and then ask the universe to deliver it to us. And for us to receive anything, we need to have unwaivering faith that its already ours. Its like owning a Mercedes in your head but not in reality, but knowing that you will own one in the near future. How does that sound?

I think I like this concept of law of attraction. Its something I'd like to apply in my day-to-day living. I've already listed down events and people I'd like to see coming into my life. My recommendation is that you read the book. It truly is life-transforming!!!!

  1. Hi Vandana and Hi guys

Gosh is nobody alive to reply to blogs these days or what!!!

I have read the book "The Secret" and it is much different compared to the self improvement and self help book available until now. The main difference being the explanation about the "law of attraction". Guys have you ever noticed the fact that we meet so many people in our day to day lives but we connect with a very few of them. Its not just about trusting people and sharing common views but its on a different level. You feel very carefree and relaxed in their company. This is a part of the "Law of Attraction". We attract certain people in our lives. It even applies to situations like suppose we are lonely and feeling down, what we do in that situation attracts the state in which we will be. If we go and do something we like, listen to good music or anything to cheer us up we will feel good... we are attracting the good feeling. But instead if we just keep cursing our situation and stay alone we are attracting sadness and loneliness all the more. One more thing I liked about the book was that it said whenever you are in a bad mood just think of some good moment in your life or some good song, etc and you will feel good. I am doing it in my day to day life and it sure is working wonders for me.

Its all basically about always having a POSITIVE ATTITUDE. Although it also applies to material things, that is something which I leave to discussion. Of course Vandana makes it sound like a genie coming out of a bottle and giving us what we want but I will differ on that aspect. Being passionate about having something is a positive attitude but being obsessed with something is a negative attitude. If you just think that you will do great in the exams and dont study you will surely fail.

I know a very famous astrologist who has been practising for more than 30 years now and he tells me that its the person who makes or breaks himself not what his stars have in store for him. Astrology just provides you with a map, its you who have to decide on the path you take. In others words it is you who decide what to attract in your life. Palmistry promises to tell you all thats going to happen in your future by reading your hand today... tell me frankly are the lines on our hands today same as they were 20 years ago. They keep changing and we change them... we have the power.

I agree with Vandana that anybody can achieve anything provided he/she has the positive attitude to attract that thing. As for listing up the things I want in my life, tell me vandana how can a person decide today what one wants after 30 years. I would rather say have dreams and do your best to make them a reality with passion not obsession.

I would love to see more people turning up and replying to this blog. Dont people want to talk about living better lives/ Cmon everbody!!!

  3. Hi guys..nice to know that there r ppl who understand this fact that everything around us influence us & in a same way v influence our surrounding. if u r surrounded by ppl with positive attitude it reflects in u..but sometime v can't change our surrounding say ppl u wrk with or stay with..ppl u have to deal daily. -ve things around would affect u..bcoz everything in d universe is connected. But that's where d thing called self motivation comes in to picture. If u thing surrounding is -ve have such a self motivation that & ur +ve attitude will reflect in ur surrounding & it will if u r strong. Bcoz everything is connected u have a power to change it in a way u want it.

I really like that part of Vandana's thinking that if u want something then u should b d 1st person to believe that u can have everything u want.if u don't believe that u deserve d thing u want then how do u expect universe to believe in u.
I believe in this "If it's going to b then it's up to u".
Ur action is just a result of ur thinking. If u want to act +ve just think +ve.
"To change d way u live just change d way u think :)"
Nice blog nice comments looking forward to leave some more comments in future.

  4. I just realized that everything lies in the way I approac things. Ever since I joined the Art of Living and read books related to the 'Law of Attraction', my perspective on things have changed. I for one have strengthened my desire to follow what makes me happy. I feel this sense of peace inside of me. Its like the universe and Guruji (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar) and not just protecting me but guiding me towards more glorious experiences. My third semester at SDSU has taken off with an excellent start. I feel no pressure at all in terms of my studies. I don't feel the need to impress people. Its my life and I deserve the best. I've realized that it is important to treat yourself as important and love yourself to the fullest before you can expect the world to. There a sense of inner peace that comes with the realization that you truly are the one who can make or break things and that your beliefs about yourself can take you to new heights and success.

So here is wishing love and success to you all.

    Lots of love,

    Vandana
